Why ChakraDance?
A few years ago, we were visiting my in-laws in Massachusetts and one morning they asked if I would like to try a Chakra dance class. I thought that sounded interesting and unique and couldn't wait to try it.
I enjoyed the class so much that at the end I picked up a brochure. When we got back home, I tried to find a similar class here, but no one offered it. So I decided that I would learn to be an instructor in this great type of class.
I have now become an instructor in this unique type of dance and yoga called Chakra Dance. I completed this training and received certification from Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Kripalu is a world-renowned center for yoga retreats and training in various spiritual and healing arts, located in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Chakra dance is a joy-based movements practice, bringing user-friendly dance, yoga and the Chakras (the body energy centers) together with music from all over the world. It is further based on self-discovery and finding your individual strengths. Chakra Dance is a great combination of exercise, stretching, and spiritual discovery, all together in one class. It is not offered anywhere else in North San Diego area.
What actually happens in ChakraDance?
The mission of ChakraDance: is to spread joy and consciousness throughout the world by transmitting body health, brain health, heart health, and soul health to all populations. It's an amazing Chakra Fusion! A joy-filled power dance combining yoga, the breath, and user-friendly dance with fabulous music from all around the world. It is a funky, sacred, inspirational dance of the multi-dimensional self, bringing tons of fun and healing to body, mind, spirit. Chakra Dance is for every single body and wonderful for all ages. In yoga dance, a chakra dance explosion happens. Seven energy centers provide the foundation for this dance of yoga.
